A game of rabid decisions
https://kuvasz013.itch.io/rabid
Rabid is a point and click adventure game where you need to make decisions that will influence the lives of the anthropomorphic animals living in your town. You can decide which information to rely on, which to investigate further, but the issues you have to face might not be black and white, and sometimes you need to choose priorities or the lesser evil.

As the mayor of a small forest town, you need to handle a crisis, when a new type of rabies disease appears.
You are presented with articles each day, and as you are lacking in reliable information, you need to investigate, speak with experts, and make decisions based on what you have collected, or just by listening to your instincts.
Your decisions influence the spread of the disease, the lives of the townsfolk, and, of course, your own position.
The game
This game was created for the Complexity Gamejam in a week, afterhours in a team of seven, that included developers, artist and two writers / game designers.
The game consists of 3 phases – 3 weeks -, just before the new elections. Each week you can go to the town, and talk to the townsfolk. The town is reachable through a map, that contains several areas. You can visit three areas per week, then you have to make a decision in three topics presented before you, that are different each week, and either about the upcoming election or the rabies.
During the dialogues with the people of the town, you can collect information about the cons and pros of each option.
The outcome is entirely based on your decisions, and is balanced in between winning the election and winning over the disease. It is possible to win both, or loose everything.
